I've known button holes and donut holes, but NO HOLES with buried treasure. <br />I've heard of deep space "black holes" which man may never measure. <br />There are some holes in human bodies, which I'm too polite to mention. <br />Holes are sometimes "eaten" in one's stomach, IF that "ONE" has too much tension. <br /> <br />Holes in mountains may be called craters, or maybe caves, or tunnels. <br />There are holes in some kitchen tools, including slotted spoons and funnels. <br />Swiss cheese has holes in it, and there can be treacherous potholes in a street. <br />I prefer the holes in cheese to those in streets, ‘cause cheese, not streets, I eat. <br /> <br />Keyholes are becoming less common …..as push buttons are (keyholes) replacing. <br />Through big holes in my wife's toast, the melting butter does go racing. <br />Woodpeckers peck holes in trees for their nests, where they raise their young. <br />After the dentist drills my decaying teeth, I can feel the holes with my tongue. <br /> <br />Someone who is deemed to be not-smart, may be said to have in his head a hole. <br />In my chest I think I have an empty space (or hole) , where others have a soul. <br />You'll want a hole to drain away the water, after washing the supper dishes. <br />BUT you won't want a hole in your boat's bottom, unless you wish to sleep.........with the fishes. <br /> <br />I could go on and on and on, to fill the holes in my intensely-boring day, <br />but a hole has opened in the clouds, ….and it's time for Bri to go out and play. <br /> <br />(June 2 + 16,2014)<br /><br />Bri Edwards<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/holes-i-ve-known-holes-of-course-humor-humour-medium-length/
